Mega hotel, Miri

Down there you can sit and relax over a cup of tea of have light meals from evening till midnight. Just walk across the road from the hotel.

The WiFi signals that my laptop detected from my room on the 9th floor. However I was connected to the onternet using Mega Hotel’s own WiFi signal and it is FREE.

Hotel- The Waterfront, Labuan

I stayed at the Waterfront hotel situated in Labuan. The hotel with a marina has a sailors atmosphere with rooms all white. Mmmm… staying for 5 days at the hotel makes me feel that I am a sailor (LOL). The Waterfront is an international class hotel built for the financial and business industry.

The hotel is situated adjacent to the largest shopping complex in Labuan, The Financial Park where one can buy chocolates and/or liquor (a must buy for visitors).

Other facilities provided by the hotel is a large swimming pool, The Sunset Bar, Gymnasium, Health Centre, Karaoke and TM’s Hotspot. I can receive one bar from my room but not able to log on to the internet. I think the hotel should provide FREE highspeed broadband access to its stay in guest instead of TM’s hotspot service which is only available at the lobby and coffee house.

MH 2593 MYY-KUL

After five days in Miri its time to go home. My flight was MH 2593 on MAS. I had requested earlier for seat 27A which is on th portside. If you on one of the lucky flight between East Malaysia and West Malaysia, you will have the opportunity to see the Natuna Islands along the way. Natuna belongs to Indonesia and I was surprised that there inhabitants on the island in the South China Sea since its quite far away from Jakarta. Pictures in this blog was taken while on flight except the full aerial view of the island (right) which was downloaded from the net.

Access point in the waiting lounge at Miri Airport. Access is 10 cents per minute and I wonder is there anybody who use the facilities. Its FREE in Changi and other airports. (Hey, thats my trolley bag in the foreground)
