The Independance of the Federation of Malaya was declared in Malacca. The monument to mark the declaration was build at now Dataran Pahlawan nearby the famous A Formosa.
Dataran Pahlawan at Bandar Hilir Malacca can be duped as a one stop history of Malaysia from her early days of Parameswara till today. Remnants of history can still be seen and as time goes new discoveries has been unearthed to walk back into history.
