Malaysia will be host for the International Paralympic committee (IPC) world General Assembly in Novenber 2009. It was confirmed in Beijing after Malaysia won 8 votes against 1.

Malaysian Paralympic Council president Datuk Zainal Abu Zarin said nine elected IPC governing board members took part in the voting by secret ballot.
