ASEAN Blogger Declaration
I attended a Bloggerfest in Penang in 2010 and had a list of bloggers whose blog I use to randomly visit and read. Tonight I was reading a blog from a Cambodian Blogger who is also a journalist and came her posting about Blogger’s Conference in Bali in 2011.
There was the ASEAN bloggers conference in Bali on 16-17 November 2011 and during that Conference, a ASEAN Bloggers declaration was mooted. Below is the list of declaration. Watch the video t the end of this posting too.
ASEAN BLOGGER DECLARATION
- We, the ASEAN bloggers, gathered in Bali, on 16th November 2011, aligned with the 19th ASEAN Summit, acknowledge the role and contributions of social media for the establishment of ASEAN Community 2015.
- We, the ASEAN bloggers, aspire to seek the freedom of expressions among us as enshrined in Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
- We, the ASEAN bloggers, in the spirit of partnership and solidarity among the family of people from ASEAN countries, independent of political influence, are determined to use social media in the development of ASEAN’s political, economic, and social-cultural potentials with the aim to promote understanding among ASEAN people.
- We, the ASEAN bloggers, are determined to develop cooperation in all fields under ASEAN’s One Vision, One Identity, and One Community.
- We, the ASEAN bloggers, are committed to ethical and positive demeanor, respectful of the rights of authors attached to articles, photos, and videos, and other creative products.
- We, the ASEAN bloggers commit to:
- Declare the 16th November as the ASEAN Bloggers’ Day.
- Develop communication platforms, both at the national and the sub-regional levels, taking into account the interest of people participation in the rural areas of ASEAN countries.
- Organize future activities to encourage closer contact among bloggers.
- Mandate the Indonesian ASEAN Blogger Community President to coordinate and communicate to all their counterparts from ASEAN countries regarding development and progress achieved in accordance with the Declaration.
7. We, the ASEAN bloggers, encourage all bloggers to join our efforts in making this Declaration a reality.

LEGOLAND® MALAYSIA ANNOUNCES OPENING DATE
It was an opportunity for me to get an invite to a site visit and do preview for them. what more if the invitation is for some task of international company. The opportunity came when I receive an email from Millenium Associates for a site visit to LEGOLAND® Malaysia at Nusajaya, in Iskandar Malaysia Johor. The first visit was done on 30th March 2012 and the latest on 25th April 2012. The first visit I had the pleasure of being together with two prominent blogger who blogs at placesandfoods.com and another one malaysiaasia.com. We took off from Subang Skypark on an early flight and return in the evening.
The last visit was on Airasia when we had the experience of plane being delayed before takeoff and when all passengers was already on board. Then we came to know that Sultan Ibrahim International Airport, in Senai was closed due to bad weather. It was actually due to visibility problem that can pose landing threats to aircraft. However we arrived just in time for the Media Briefing by the General Manager, Mr Siegfried Boerst, whom I met on both visits.
The main purpose of the briefing was to announce the official Grand Opening Date of the first such theme park in Asia and the sixth in the world. Inspired by Asia’s love affair with all thing LEGO®, the 76 acres theme park will cater for kids from 2 to 12 years of age who can enjoy more than 40 rides and attractions, from roller coasters to race cars as well as family-focused interactive shows.
In his speech Mr Siegfried said, “Our official opening date has been something we’ve had a lot of enquiries from the public on since the park broke ground in December 2009. I’m pleased to announce that due to the hard work of all of our contractors we will now be opening LEGOLAND Malaysia ahead of schedule by a number of months. We hope that with today’s news families and tour operators will begin planning their trips to visit us and we look forward to giving you an experience like no other in Asia. Rather appropriately we will be opening the day before Malaysia Day which happens to be a long weekend!”
As on our second visit, the park was already almost 75% finished with most of the rides and infrastructure installed. Theming of the park was done by the contractor last month in May, installing of the 50 million LEGO® bricks and model into the park.
When the park opens it doors, special discounted passes will be available
During the briefing, Mr Boerst also announced that the official park single-day tickets will go on sale online later in May. It will be priced at a special introductory offer of RM96 (SGD40) for adults and RM70 (SGD29) for kids.
Prior to the opening date, these single-day tickets will be available from the LEGOLAND Malaysia Road Show tour which starts on 25th April 2012 at Vivo City in Singapore. Tickets will also be available in Johor every weekend from 2pm to 7pm at the Iskandar Malaysia Information Centre (IMIC) in Danga Bay.
The 30% discount will be for a limited period only, so avid LEGOLAND fans are advised to keep a close eye on the LEGOLAND Malaysia website www.LEGOLAND.com.my for announcements.
Annual passes too will still remain available through SISTIC & RedTix eventhough over 35,000 passes have been sold across the region since its launch in December 2011. Watch out for the roadshows organised by LEGOLAND Malaysia where you can purchase your special single-day ticket and enjoy the excitement when they are still fresh from the oven.
During the Media Briefing, LEGOLAND Malaysia announced that they had signed a management agreement to build LEGOLAND® Hotel next to the park and is expected to be open in early 2014. The opening of the hotel can further help creating an integrated destination resort experience for families, allowing them to spend longer quality time together while exploring and enjoying the LEGOLAND Malaysia offerings and the region.
Kids in most parts of Asia has been growing with LEGO® bricks and LEGOLAND Malaysia is creating this relevency whereby in a modern, fast-paced world which is dominated by digital gadgets, LEGOLAND Malaysia offers unique opportunities for families to bond and gives them the ability to impart valuable and meaningful lessons and life skills, which are becoming more and more precious.
What separates LEGOLAND Malaysia from the crowd is interactivity and participation, to stimulate the
imagination and creativity of our children. The sheer excitement of the experience is bound to have
infectious results and allow kids to share the values with their friends and peers.

Merlin entertainment first signed the management agreement with Iskandar Investment Board in December 2008 and ground-breaking started in December 2009. In December 2011, the first steelworks structure that is the LEGO TECHNIC TEST TRACKS was unveiled and discounted Annual Passes went on sale in through Redtix in January 2012.
And on 25th April 2012, to the Media from Malaysia and Singapore and bloggers present, The General Manager proudly announced the……………

Keputusan Pemenang Anugerah Astro Arena 2012
Majlis telah berlangsung di The Rennaisance, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur dan diserikan oleh YB Dato’ Razali Hj Ibrahim, Timbalan Menteri Belia dan Sukan Malaysia. Ia merupakan tahun kedua Anugerah ini diadakan sejak dilancarkan penubuhan Astro Arena pada 20 Mac 2010 oleh YB. Menteri Belia dan Sukan.
AAA2012 adalah merupakan satu penghargaan disamping meraikan wira-wira sukan tanahair di peringkat Antarabangsa oleh sebuah media elektronik. Sebanyak lapan kategori dipertandingkan, tambahan tiga dari AAA2011 yang lalu. Calon-calon telah dipilih oleh Astro Arena dengan banduan Majlis Olimpik Malaysia sebagai Badan Penasihat.
Pemilihan pemenang adalah secara undian online yang dibuat oleh para peminat sukan Malaysia bermula dari 9 hingga 23 April 2012 di laman sesawang www.arena.my.
Kejayaan Astro Arena menganjurkan majlis ini mendapat ucapan tahniah daripada YB Timbalan Menteri Belia dan Sukan ; “Sukan akan kekal menjadi sebahagian daripada hidup kita yang penting dalam penyatuan masyarakat, walau apapun bangsa dan latarbelakang kita. Untuk semua atlet yang telah dicalonkan pada malam ini, anda semua adalah pemenang dan patut berbangga dengan pencapaian anda sama ada di arena sukan tempatan mahupun antarabangsa.”
Sementara itu, Ketua Pegawai Kewangan ASTRO Encik Ahmad Fuaad Kenali berkata, “Di Astro, kami komited dalam memperjuangkan sukan di kalangan semua rakyat Malaysia. Astro Arena adalah satu contoh yang jelas terhadap komitmen kami dalam pembangunan dan penambahbaikan sukan tempatan untuk seluruh rakyat. Pada masa yang sama, kami juga berharap untuk memberi inspirasi kepada belia-belia di Malaysia agar menjadi juara dan wira dalam apa jua yang mereka lakukan”.
Keputusan Anugerah pada majlis tersebut adalah seperti berikut:

Khairul Fahmi Che Mat (Bola Sepak) – Penjaga gawang skuad Harimau Muda yang membantu kemenangan negara meraih emas menewaskan Indonesia di perlawanan akhir acara bola sepak di Sukan Sea Indonesia ke-26.

Another Trip To LEGOLAND
This blogger has been invited to attend another important site visit to LEGOLAND Malaysia at Nusajaya, Johor. It will be another new information to be posted on the Timeline of Asia’s first LEGOLAND towards the official launching of the Theme Park.
The last visit to the site which is still under construction was on 31st March and the General Manager told us that it is expected to be opened in October 2012. Construction then was at 65% completed.
I did not expect this second invitation came too soon since this visit is just 25 days after the first. And according to the email I receive, Mr Siegfried Boerst will be announcing the parks much anticipated official opening date in 2012. The briefing will be held on the parks build site followed by a site tour and photo shoot opportunity with many of the rides and attractions. Mr. Boerst will also be making a series of additional announcements surrounding day tickets going on sale, and a construction update.
As for me, I am just all excited to visit the site again because I will be part of LEGOLAND Malaysia’s history in the making for being able to see its growth.

Anugerah Astro Arena 2012
Baru minggu saja selesai Anugerah Sukan Negara, atlet kebangsaan akan diraikan lagi dalam satu majlis anjuran Astro Arena pula. Majlis akan diadakan di Rennaisance Hotel, Jalan Ampang sebagai menghargai jasa dan komitmen atlet-atlet mengharumkan nama dan imej negara di persada antarabangsa.
Majlis akan diadakan pada 24 April 2012 dan diserikan oleh kehadiran YB Dato’ razali Hj Ibrahim, Timbalan Menteri Belia dan Sukan Malaysia.
Pengundian sudahpun dibuka dan para peminat boleh melawat ASTRO ARENA untuk mengundi. Pengundian akan ditutup pada 22 April 2012.
Petang tadi pula aku terima undangan untuk ke majlis itu melalui email. Inilah kali pertama mendapat undangan untuk program oleh Astro. Terima kasih Astro Arena.

Anugerah Astro Arena 2012
Kita baharu sahaja selesai menyaksikan Anugerah Sukan Negara anjuran Majlis Sukan Negara dan kini satu lagi majlis seumpama yang dianjurkan pula oleh Astro Arena Saluran 801.Majlis Anugerah Astro Arena 2012 akan diadakan di The Rennaisance, Jalan Ampang Kuala Lumpur pada 24 April 2012 mulai jam 7.30 malam. Majlis akan diserikan oleh YB. Dato’ Razali Hj Ibrahim, Timbalan Menteri Belia dan Sukan Malaysia.
Anugerah Astro Arena seperti juga Anugerah Sukan Negara adalah sebagi menghargai jasa dan pengorbanan yang dilakukan oleh para atlet kebangsaan kita dalam mengharumkan nama Malaysia di persada antarabangsa. Senarai calon telah dikeluarkan untuk diundi oleh peminat sukan dan undian boleh dibuat sehingga 22 April 2012.

Anugerah Sukan Negara 2011
Majlis tahunan anjuran Majlis Sukan Negara telah berlangsung dengan jayanya di Palace of The Golden Horses dengan diserikan oleh keberangkatan KDYMM Yang di-Pertuan Agung XIV, Almu’tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah mencemar Duli.
17hb April 2012 adalah acara gilang gemilang untuk meraikan seluruh warga sukan yang telah mengorbankan masa, tenaga dan juga wang ringgit untuk meningkatkan imej negara melalui sukan. Malam itu adalam malam warga sukan dan peminatnya. Majlis tersebut merupakan Edisi ke 46 sejak mula diujudkan pada tahun 1966.
Kemuncak majlis malam itu ialah dengan menobatkan olahragawan dan olahragawati negara untuk tahun 2011. Kali ini Jawatankuasa Pemilihan yang diPengerusikan oleh YBhg. Dato’ Mohid Momamed, Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia ialah:
