to Allahyarham Tan Sri Hamzah Abu Samah who passed away peacefully at his residence due to old age.
He was 88 years old and had dedicated his life to sports especially football and was the Life President of Olympic Council Malaysia.
He was laid to rest at the National Mausoleum in Mesjid Negara.
Born in Kuala Lipis, Pahang on 5th January 1924.
Positions held : Presiden Asian Football Confederation (AFC) (1978-1994), Minister of Youth and Sports (1971-1973), Member of Parlaiment Temerloh 1967–1980. –BERNAMA
