This weekend will be the finale of 2012’s season for football in Malaysia when Kelantan played Malaysian ATM for the coveted Piala Malaysia at Shah Alam.
Who will keep the cup till 2013 will be decided on 20th October 2012. ATM made a comeback after their last appearance in the final in 1966 and this will be their third Finals. ATM emerge Runners-up in both their past Finals. Can they make history in 2012? We will all see the outcome.
Kelantan on the other hand won first ever championship in 2010 after defeating Negeri Sembilan 2-1 at National Stadium, Bukit Jalil. What will be interesting is that when Kelantan made their historical win, the team was under K.Sathianathan and this time he will lead ATM. He had created history for himself with Kelantan and can he recreated history with ATM this year?
I like what coach Sathianathan said after his team made it into the final. “I want them to enjoy the finals”.
