The Power Of Social Media

He waited for 30 years and travelled 7,000 miles from Kuala Lumpur to watch his favourite team, Everton,  played live in front of his eyes but barely an hour before the kickoff, the match was called off due to bad weather.

After making his way into Goodison Park an hour before kickoff, Wee tweeted a selfie to show his look of pure, mustachioed joy upon finally being in his beloved club’s home ground after so many years of support.

Dissapointed that his dream does not become a reality, his tweet reached one of Everton’s staff and they tracked him. He was given a VIP treatment by Everton for his loyal support. His journey might not be a lower after all. The morale of Wee’s experience – It pays to be sincere and loyal.

Dare To Be Extreme

I am sure most of you had watched and been following extreme challenges such as Fear Factor, Amazing Race or even the fun wipeout. Those are extreme adventures and humans from time to time do take up such extreme challenge to test his or her limit.

What is considered extreme?

Oxford dictionaries define ex·treme (ikˈstrēm/) as an adjective meansreaching a high or the highest degree; very great”.
So, this posting is about the above meaning.

Extreme sports? Extreme challenge? Extreme Adventure? Those are some activities that pose some challenge to one’s adrenalin and it test the limit of the participant physically and mentally.

Throughout my life I had been involve in some extreme activities. During my school days I took the challenge of abseiling and rapelling. It really test the my acrophobia limit. Acrophobia  is an extreme or irrational fear of heights. So for someone who has fear of height will not be able experience the fun of rappelling. I taste my first rapelling at the age of 14 when I was with my scout troop. After that first trial, I do not hesitate any opportunity to rappel whenever there is a challenge.

One Extreme Sport That I’d Love to try

My extreme adventure does not stop there. When there was an invitation for bloggers to join in the Bloggers Paintball Challenge in 2008, I submitted my application and join other bloggers for the challenge. Unexpected, my make shift team emerge as 1st Runners Up and that earn us a ticket to the National Paintball League in Division 4. Paintball is really a challenge physically and mentally.

The last time I was involve in extreme activity was the flying fox at Sunway Lagoon which is the longest in Malaysia but that was not challenging enough because of the water below instead of flying above the trees at Dusun Eco Resort in Bentong, Pahang. during my visit to Sunway Lagoon, I had the the experience of driving the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV).

For adventure seekers who want to test their adrenalin and physical challenge can try it out at Skytrek Adventure located within the Taman Pertanian Malaysia Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam, in Shah Alam. Get more information HERE. However before heading to prove your extreme bravery don’t forget to prepare yourself physically too. Extreme adventure needs lots of physical stamina and energy and the best preparation is to bring along your energy “Power Bank“. No I not the one you use to recharge your mobile gadgets. Hehehe……. Get hold of the Fastrack Energy Bar for your energy suppmement.

So, while enjoying the lush greenery of the Equatorial Rain Forest why not put yourself to test too. I’d love to test my physical, mental and adrenalin rush if there’s an opportunity. Skytrek is not just the place but its the place to do it.
