Gerai Makan Kak Hapzah, Port Dickson

While on my way back from Tiara Beach Resort in Port Dickson I stop by a roadside stall for a nice cooling coconut water. The stall grew up from just a small shack a few years back when I visited it. It is located at the entrance to Mess Greysands, Tractors Malaysia Bungalows and Port Dickson Beach Resort. From Port Dickson one has to drive past Telok Kemang on the way south. The stall is situated on the right. List of food served can be seen from the pictures below.

Nothing much better than a refreshing sip of coconut water and its soft flesh on a hot day.

Memang seperti dakwaannya, resort ini mempunyai sebuah pantai buatan dan dikelilingi oleh blok-blok apartment. Kolam mandi ini adalah cukup selamat kerana tidak begitu dalam dan dalam keadaan berdiri bagi kawasan orang dewasa pun melebihi paras pinggang sahaja. Selain airnya yang jernih dan dapat dilihat hingga ke dasar, pihak resort menempatkan penyelamat di keliling kolam dan juga seorang berada di tempat tinggi yang dapat mengawasi kawasan kolam secara menyeluruh. Terdapat dua buah kolam dan satunya khusus untuk kanak-kanak.

Selain dapat mandi-manda, kanak-kanak dapat berhibur dengan berbagai pertunjukan dan persembahan. Malah ibu-bapa dan orang dewasa juga dapat berhibur dengan aktiviti-aktiviti dalam air dan atas pasir yang dianjurkan secara berterusan. Pendek kata berada di Tiara , anda tidak merasai masa berlalu begitu pantas.

Regency Tanjung Tuan Beach Resort, Port Dickson

After laying off for about three months I start traveling again. This time to Port Dickson for a two night stay at Regency Tanjung Tuan Beach Resort. This is the second time staying here, the last was in 1995 when I attended the induction course here and stayed for two weeks.

The resort situated next to the beach facing the Straits of Malacca. Location wise it can be considered central between Port Dickson Town and other resort along the beach leading South towards Malacca.

From the resort one can view the Straits and usually will not miss ships sailing along it. The Straits of Malacca is one of the most used seaway for ships from Europe to the Far East.

Two blocks of three and two rooms apartments.
Swimming pool with kids pool. At the time I was there life guards were always on standby.
Tennis court, Futsal court
PS2 video games terminals.
FREE Wifi at the 24 hours Api-Api Coffee Terrace and at the Coconut Grove. However at the time I was there I can receive the signal (2 bars) but can’t get logged to the internet.

The swimming pool with a 9 feet deep end. Also found is kids pool.

Coconut Grove to sit an relax in the evening. Opened till midnight. Movies are screened here. However the sound from the movie distracts guest in the rooms when the movie ends at about 2.00 a.m.

Sit and relax over ABC (Air Batu Campur) . Shaved ice with an array of beans. Sweet.

Quite a nice spot to watch the sunset.

Destination Port Dickson

Today I took off to Port Dickson (PD). The last time I was in Port Dickson was April last year. There will be a workshop to write the sports specific curriculum for coaching. A few sports was called up to complete their coaching curriculum for all the three levels under the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme.

Left my house at 9.00 pm and drove up to PD through the North South Highway (PLUS). The journey to PD is just about 1hr 15 minutes. Drive along the PLUS Highway and then take Exit 219. Toll rate from Sg Besi Toll Plaza is RM 7.70. After passing the toll plaza you will reach a traffic light and take a right turn. Drive straight until you see another sign showing the route to Port Dickson. From there you have the choice of using the trunk road or the highway. The trunk road will take you through Mantin and Rantau. Whereas the highway will take you direct to Port Dickson but you still have the exits to Mantin and Springhills. The open toll fare for this highway is RM 2.60.

The distance from Kuala Lumpur to Port Dickson is about 13 kilometres.

My destination in Port Dickson is Tiara Beach Resort. I will update this blog later with some pictures of Tiara Beach Resort.
