MH370 – New Phase Detected Pings

It was reported today by Xinhua News that a Chinese SAR vessel Haixun 01, detected pulse signal of 37.5 kHz frequency at the search location for the missing MH370 aircraft in the South Indian Ocean. The frequency is a standard signal from black boxes or specifically cockpit voice and flight data recorder. Anish Patel, President of Dukane Seacom told CNN that its the same frequency.

The patrol vessel arrived at the new search area north of the 1.15 million square-kilometer patch of the earlier designated search area on Friday.

MH370 Reflects Our Defence Alertness?

If an “unidentified” plane had been picked up flouting prescribed procedures or with switched-off transponders or not “squawking” IFF (identification, friend or foe) codes, a series of “air defence measures” would have kicked in – including the scrambling of fighters – to “detect, identify, intercept and destroy” the intruder, an Indian newspaper reported.

The paper also reported that India dismiss the possibility that MAS jet could have flown over her airspace. Indian official said that if a jetliner were to cross the Indian mainland, their primary radars (which bounce radio signals off targets) would have picked it up despite its transponders being switched off (secondary radars beam signals that request information from a plane’s transponders),” said a top Indian Air Force (IAF) officer. -SOURCE

On the morning MH370 went missing, defence radar detected a flying object crossing the northern part of peninsular Malaysia and it was assumed as non hostile, therefore no action were taken to checkout. The assumption it was a commercial flight. After a few days only it was confirmed, through studying of the recording that it might be MH370.

Now, what can we learn from this incident?

1. Is the route a normal route for commercial airline?  If we check Flightradar24 the route taken by the suspected to be MH370 is not a normal aircraft route. That should put the radar operator on alert and take necessary actions.
2. Why the radar operator think it is a commercial airline since it detected a flying object? A Malaysian military radar showed trace of flight MH370 turning back before it vanished
3. As a layman, I am not sure what kind of detected signal on the radar that can be considered non hostile.
4. If the radar operator alert the defense system during that particular moment and send out reconnaissance jets, maybe the search for MH370 will not drag until day 8 and put Malaysia to shame day by day.

Does that show how weak our air defence is?

Not Only #MH370, #Bomoh Is Trending Too

BBC said that “Bomoh” had been tweeted more than 200,000 times and been trending worldwide. However the appearance sentiment is shame. Seems that Malaysia had been put to shame with the inclusion of the Bomoh in an effort of searching the missing MH370. Bomoh in the malay language means shaman. By the way the ritual carried out by the Bomoh is against the teaching of Islam and considered as superstition and idoltry.

BBC says, The word “bomoh” is trending worldwide and has been tweeted more than 200,000 times, with the most obvious sentiment expressed being shame, the BBC reported. Read more from SOURCE

Below is a screen capture on a twitter page. However the Google image with the coconut replacing the two “o” , I am not sure whether is real.

In the teaching of Islam it is more appropriate to perform the 2 rakaah Solah Hajat (as the botton right picture), a prayer requesting and hoping Allah bestow what is intended by the jemaah. Today Friday 14th March 2014 mosques throughout the country were requested to perform the Solat hajat after the compulsory Friday prayer.

MH Trending 2

Its only March and Malaysia made an inroad by having two words trending on tweeter. Earlier this year was the word “kangkung” or water spinach when the nation spoof the Prime Minister for asking Malaysians to praise the government when they are complaining of the rising cost of food.

Sarawak Report @sarawak_report tweeted “The world has been discovering a lot more about Malaysia since the drama of Flight MH370, resulting in many raised eyebrow.

The appearance of the Bomoh had been spoofed by many in Malaysia and even foreigner as posted on Facebook. Screen capture above shows.

Its a pity that the popularity of Bomoh in searching for the missing MH370 was reported made Malaysian in Egypt been derided.

Later in Parlaiment, Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had also questioned who in Putrajaya had sanctioned the bomoh to conduct rituals inside KLIA to locate the missing jetliner making Malaysia laughing stock.

However, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, minister in the prime minister’s department had denied claims that Putrajaya had hired the bomoh, adding that it was not a directive from the government. For information, the Bomoh did mention he was invited by a high ranking VIP to make his appearance. Who is he or she?

It is also a disgrace when Al Arabiya reported that Malaysia had resorted to using black magic; as a last resort and desperate move to locate the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH 370 and Malaysia is seen as a model Islamic nation.

A portal or blog called katakcomel.my has alleged that Raja Bomoh was paid RM1.8 million for his “stupid act”, all in the name of helping the government to locate the missing MAS Boeing 777. It’s like rubbing salt into the wounds of Malaysians and those with family members aboard the jet.

MH370 Day 7- Hope Still Alive

ALL INFORMATION ON THIS POST IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION FROM SAR PRESS CONFERENCE

Why I put up the above notice is that whatever I share on this blog is based on what I read on the internet. Since the missing of MH370 is becoming more mysterious by day, more and more theories pop up and most from individual who wants to be anonymity maybe because they might not be officially with the investigation team.

I am sharing this pieces of information that I found while surfing the net.

ABC News published an article on 13th March 2013 tittled Malaysia Airliner Communications Shut Down Seperately, Says US Official.

Two U.S. officials tell ABC News the U.S. believes that the shutdown of two communication systems happened separately on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. One source said this indicates the plane did not come out of the sky because of a catastrophic failure.

The data reporting system, they believe, was shut down at 1:07 a.m. The transponder — which transmits location and altitude — shut down at 1:21 a.m. ABC News aviation consultant John Nance said. More from  Source.

Satellite Bleep deepens unprecedented Malaysian Airlines Mystery

A US official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorised to discuss the situation by name, said the Boeing 777-200 wasn’t transmitting data to the satellite, but was instead sending out a signal to establish contact.

Boeing offers a satellite service that can receive a stream of data during flight on how the aircraft is functioning and relay the information to the plane’s home base. The idea is to provide information before the plane lands on whether maintenance work or repairs are needed.

Malaysia Airlines didn’t subscribe to that service, but the plane still had the capability to connect with the satellite and was automatically sending pings, the official said.

“It’s like when your cellphone is off but it still sends out a little ‘I’m here’ message to the cellphone network,’’ the official said. “That’s how sometimes they can triangulate your position even though you’re not calling because the phone every so often sends out a little bleep. That’s sort of what this thing was doing.’’ More from SOURCE

Rada Data Show Jet Heading To Andaman?

MH370 military radar

Two sources said an unidentified aircraft that investigators believe was Flight MH370 was following a route between navigational waypoints – indicating it was being flown by someone with aviation training – when it was last plotted on military radar off the country’s north-west coast.

The last plot on the military radar’s tracking suggested the plane was flying toward India’s Andaman Islands, a chain of isles between the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, they said.

Waypoints are geographic locations, worked out by calculating longitude and latitude, that help pilots navigate along established air corridors. More from SOURCE

Based on those unverified information there is still hope that MH370 and her passengers will be back with their loved ones. What more there are still no pings from the aircraft blackbox.

MH370 Day 5 After The Shaman

It has already been day 5 and still nobody knew what really happen to flight MH370 en route to Beijing that went missing from radar off the coast of Peninsular Malaysia. As the number of days increases, the number of speculations, predictions and incidents increase too, whether positive or negative.

Press conference apart where contradicting information were released, a shaman took centrestage. He was once very popular because had been engaged to unwind some high profile mysteries and maybe that lead him to be bestowed with an award from the ruler.

His ritual were however became a ridicule to many. Not enough his followup became a troll on social media. The ritual performed by three individuals sitting on a carpet, one rowing, the second and third waving a basket and two coconuts respectively. It brings back the memories of the late Tan Sri P Ramlee’s movie Laksemana Do Re Mi who saved a princess travelling on a flying carpet. This post on Facebook tells the similarity of the activities. The movie was produced in the 80s.

Thats not all. It came out to be more than just the comparison. Social media users are getting creative and this montage on facebook tells it all.

It even influence kids thinking when tested the use of a “bubu” (bubu is a toll to trap fish). He/she answered as to find missing aeroplane.

kegunaan bubu
What is the bubu used for?

Whatever happens whether good or bad are all at the will of Allah. It is to remind us who is the Almighty and to him that we must surrender our life and soul. Every faith believe in the afterworld, rite?

At the time when Muslims all over the country are asked to perform the solat hajat (prayer for an intention), the act of the shaman came with practices that is religiously superstitious. He did mention that what he did was symbolic but whatever reason given it is can distort the faith. What is more surprising was that he said he was invited by someone of higher authority. Who is that higher authority?

The presence of the shaman and his rituals is actually a disgrace to Islam and its teaching but it is regretted that his ritual that  clearly superstitous is being supported by none other that the Minister in charge of Islamic Affair. Where are all the muftis, religious scholars, NGOS that support the Allah issues when this has to happen and viewed all over the globe.

Only Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor sent their official to KLIA to keep tap on unwelcome rituals. But the harm had been done.

MH370 and Who Is Mr Ali

This piece was first posted on my Fanbox page.

It has been 4 days and there is still very little clue of what really happen to Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 that went missing from radar after being airborne for about 2 hours. The Boeing 777-200 was en route to Beijing and all communication was lost at about 1.30 am somewhere over the South China Sea South of Vietnam.

Search and Rescue (SAR) Teams were deployed from the air and on water participated by many neighbouring countries. Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, USA, China and Australia join force scouring the sea for any clues of the missing aircraft.

Many false clues believe to be parts of the missing aircraft emerged all were verified to be not from MH370.

MH370 landed safely at an airport in China was false
Debris found floating on the sea not from the missing plane
Yellow object believe to be life raft turn out to be something else
Oil spill but then confirmed to be not jet fuel but from ship.
Image of an airplane on Can Do Island off Vietnam posted on Facebook was a Google Image captured on 14th February 2010.

Theories that the aircraft was hijacked became abuzz due to two of the passengers boarded the plane on a stolen passport. It was founf out that the tickets was bought from South China Airlines agent in Thailand from a travel company. MH370 is a code share flight between MAS and South China Airlines.

A man named Mr Ali was mentioned by a travel agent who sold the ticket to, and it was purchased subsequently at the same time.

Hollywood.com wrote : A search is now on for the man known only as Mr. Ali, though authorities believe these odd ticket purchasing circumstances likely signal a refugee scam, rather than a terrorist plot. “It doesn’t matter that the passport is going to be detected upon arrival. All you need is something that will get you on the plane,” security consultant Chris Mathers said. “When they would get to Beijing, the passports would likely not have been checked because they would be in the in-transit area. Then, when they get on the plane to Europe,  they flush the passports and declare refugee status in Europe. This happens a lot.”
