Kawasan Taman Laut Sultan Iskandar yang telah diwartakan sebagai Taman Laut mengandungi beberapa lokasi yang menjadi syurga penyelam scuba. Unuk menikmati keindahab di bawah dasar laut di Taman Laut Sultan Iskandar, penyelam diperlukan mendapat kebenaran dari pihak Taman Laut itu sendiri dengan dikenakan fi yang membolehkan penyelam buat “unlimited dive” selama 7 hari.
Sewaktu berada di Pulau Besar, beberapa orang daripada kami yang ada lesen PADI, telah dibawa oleh pihak penguatkuasa Taman Laut Sultan Iskandar ke kawasan Pulau Mensirip untuk membuat selaman.

Beberapa orang yan pula hanya turut serta bagi tujuan untuk membuat liputan aktiviti termasuklah blogger ini. Mujurlah tidak mabuk laut ketika berada di atas bot yang dibuai ombak.
Dive spot Pulau Mensirip adalah antara lokasi menyelam yang dibenarkan oleh pihak Taman Laut dan kami dimaklumkan bahawa di sinilah terdapat Johor mini yang diujudkan di dasar laut.

Apabila disebut hendak bercuti di pulau, pasti yang terlintas di kepala orang ramai ialah Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Tioman, Pulau Kapas, mungkin juga akan sebut Pulau Langkawi. Memang benarlah pulau-pulau tersebut dah gah dan popular sebagai destinasi percutian sama ada di kalangan rakyat tempatan mahupun pelancung luar negara.
Malaysia sebenarnya memilikki pulau-pulau yang indah sebagai destinasi percutian yang menawarkan pelbagai aktiviti berasaskan marin seperti snorkeling, selam scuba, berkayak, kembara pulau dan sebagainya.
Pada April 2018, saya berpeluang mengikuti satu rombongan Malaysian Travel Writers Association of Malaysia (TRAM) dengan kerjasama Tourism Johor untuk menikmati percutian di pulau-pulau yang terletak dalam kawasan Taman Laut Sultan Iskandar (TLSI) yang terletak di puar pesisir pantai timur Johor sekitar Mersing.
Pulau-pulau sekitar perairan pantai timur Johor ada yang sudah terkenal seperti Pulau Sibu, Pulau Rawa, Pulau Aur. Rombongan kami pula menerjah pulau lain yang kurang popular iaitu Pulau Besar dan Pulau Tinggi selama 3 hari 2 malam.
Rombongan kami bertolak dari MATIC di Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur se awal jam 5.30 pagi menuju ke bandar Mersing sebelum menaiki bot laju ke Pulau Besar. Perjalanan mengambil masa lebih kurang 8 jam dari Kuala Lumpur ke Mersing.
Dari jeti Jabatan Laut Johor di Mersing, kami menaiki bot laju yang setiap satunya memuatkan maksima 12 penumpang, membelah ombak dan sekali-sekali terhempas apabila bot meluncur atas ombak. Ia merupakan satu pengalaman baru bagi ramai daripada kami yang menjerit bukan kerana takut tetapi kerana keseronokan. Tempias air laut yang memercik setiap kali bot dilambung dan terhempas adalah rencah dan asam garam menaiki bot membelah laut itu.
Ketibaan rombongan ke Pulau Besar disambut oleh lagu ala Hawaii gitu yang dipersembahkan oleh pekerja Bayu Lestari Resort. di jeti persendirian mereka. Mujurlah tidak ada tarian gelek nampak pusat, mungkin ada anggota rombongan terjatuh laut kerana asyik.
Bayu Lestari Resort (BLR) adalah diantara resort yang terdapat di Pulau Besar selain Aseania dan D’Coconut Resort. Bayu Lestari Resort mengandungi chalet-chalet individu dan berciri privacy sesua untuk percutian keluarga, pasangan berbulan madu mahupun berkumpulan. Di samping chalet terdapat juga dua villa yang boleh memuatkan lebih ramai pengunjung ataupun keluarga yang ramai. Vila-vila dua tingkat tersebut terletak di pesisir pantai dan mengadap laut.

Sewaktu santai di Bayu Lestari Resort terasa sekali ketengangan dan jauh dari hiruk pikuk holiday makers kecuali desiran ombak yang tidak jemu-jemu menghempas pantai berpasir putih dan halus. Ternyata kebersihan pantainya begitu ketara sekali tanpa kelihatan sampah terdampar mahupun sisa plastik yang dihanyutkan oleh ombak.

Terletak di dalam kawasan Taman Laut, pembangunan Pulau Besar begitu terkawal sekali dari pembinaan yang di luar kawalan. Persekitaran semulajadinya masih terpelihara dibendung suasana damai dan selesa.

Klang Valley boast to host many water based recreational theme parks for families and the most popular among them is Sunway Lagoon. However, Johor can also be proud too of having many fun-filled family parks for locals and tourist alike.
Many had known about Danga Bay, a place where Johoreans, tourists and visitors from Singapore congregate for while away their leisure time with friends or family. Johor is also proud of hosting the only international theme park for families in Asia under the Legoland flagship, besides another one, Hello Kitty theme park in Pulai Springs, Nusajaya.
Now Johor has added another theme park on her list, the Austin Heights Water and Adventure Park.The park is located at the Mount Austin Township along Jalan Kota Tinggi in Johor Bahru District. It is approximately a 20 minutes drive from Johor Bharu city centre and is the regions latest and unique and holiday getaway.
Austin Heights Water and Adventure Park, managed by Austin Leisure Sdn. Bhd. is Malaysia’s largest Fmily Edutainment Centre.

Austin Heights Water and Adventure Park has 5 attractions parks depending on visitors taste of adventure and each park has its own thrill and adventure.
Visitors can fulfill their respective desire of adventure and thrills at either of these Water Park, Adventure Park, Jump Street, Skating rink and/or Drift. Entrance tickets are based on single park entry.
The water park provides a collage of breath-taking summery scenery and varieties of jaw-dropping water slides. There’s the “Hola Flora” for kids and also adults who missed their childhood fun and memories during their times.
Step into Splash world and let your imagination run wild and letting the kids rule their own game at the splash-tastic water playground.
When did you last scream out at the top of your vioce? Well, you can do it again at the Supersurf where you can scream all the way down the 6 high-speed racing lanes and boost your rate of blood circulation and your body muscles for exertion.
The Yellow Wall is a master of all thrill. Many people has Acrophobia and if you are one, don’t look down when you tube through this extra wide body slide. Hurtle high above, speed down by gliding left or right within seconds and splash out at the end.
You won’t get dizzy at the Rainbow Hood. It is one of the most stunning slides of summer that takes momentum rider slide down twist and turn in the dark while revel in rotary-rainbow effect by landing each rider in the Lazy River.

Adventure Park
This park is all about “monkey business”. NO!!! I do not mean you must become a monkey but activities on this park is all about climbing and hanging or you can be Tarzan for a while even if “Jane” is not around.
Adventure Park is for thrill seekers or fans of adventure who wants to explore more but staying dry. It features the longest indoor suspension adventure rope course in Malaysia. This park guarantees maximum thrills with its 7 course routes consisting of 51 types of obstacles/challenges designed for first-time players or thrill seekers.
While hanging metres above the ground the park provide the highest quality safety equipment ensuring highest quality of safety standards in compliance with the latest Euro Norm Standards : EN15567. No doubt because experts from France were employed to fix the obstacles.
There are Zip lines and uper Zip lines, Tunnel Crossing, Rope Trapeze, Jamor crossing, Pnotta bridge, Neewood crossing, Half criss crosssing, Half Tic Tac Toe, Pirate Crssing, Small U and all are in mid air.
Sports & Leisure Park

Drifting is no kids game but is suitable for kids and if you, an adult has Tachophobia, just try your hand on the drift cart at the Drift Park and feel the experiece of your vehicle skidding on the turns.

While visitors come as walk ins, Austin Water and Adventure Park also caters for School Group and Uotungs, Corporate Team building and Family Bonding activities.
Beside all these, Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park also has a fitness centre for those who want to keep fit and maybe has the intention of becoming an “Abang Sado”
As common regulation to all parks’ policy where No Outside Food allowed, Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park also do not allow such. However to cater to hungry park goers, there’s a cafeteria next to the surf pool where visitors can buy their meals.
During our media visit to the park we were all provided with a sample of lunch that can be purchased.
HOW TO GO
Visitors travelling on the North South Highway can take the exit to Terminal Pengangkutan Awam & Pasar Larkin.
